Highly skilled individuals are especially likely to seek better working conditions abroad and emigrate. In the United States alone, there are some 760.000 visiting researchers at present; the Chinese being the largest group. What are the possibilities for international cooperation between research institutes based in countries of origin and diaspora communities abroad?
